Everything You Need to Know Before Watching The Fantastic Four: First Steps

One of the most anticipated movies of 2025 is Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, the film’s release date is set for 25th of July and has been the talk of all MCU fans since the beginning of the year. With a vibrant cast comprising Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, the picture follows a group of astronauts who end up with superpowers from one of their missions to space. Though it is not an origin story, the audience would get a recap of it. The movie’s primary focus would be on how the team navigates their dynamics while facing off against the threat of Galactus and his Herald, the Silver Surfer.

The History of Fantastic Four Films

The very first Fantastic Four film was released two decades ago in 2005, long before the ascent of Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it now. Ironically, the initial comic adaptation’s cast consisted of Chris Evans. Famously known for his role as Captain America in the very same media franchise, the actor played the character of Johnny Storm, a.k.a. the Human Torch, before he was badged as the Star-Spangled Man.
